Electronic voting: the legislative record

Introduction

This is a near-complete record of comments, debate, and questions on the subject of electronic voting within the Houses of the Oireachtas from the time of introduction of the original enabling legislation to 2004-06-14 (occasionally updated). The exceptions are: passing references to electronic voting without significant information; and meetings of most committees.

With the exceptions of transcription errors, headings and marginal notes, this document is copyright 2001-2004 Ireland. Within Ireland, Article 15.12 of the Constitution permits the republication of all utterances made in either House of the Oireachtas under privilege (saor ar chúrsaí dlí).

The editor welcomes notes pointing out omissions or other errors.
