In these past few weeks its been kind of hard to figure out where the ball bounces with the NATO airstrikes in Yugoslavia. At first glimpse, it looks like a predominately Muslim country come under attack and the allied force of NATO rushes in to save an oppressed people. But we Muslims know better than that. And the ones that don't, they don't learn too well from their history. A non-Muslim nation has never, throughout history, came to aid a Muslim nation for any other interest but their own. For us to believe that NATO, led by the U.S., Britain, and ironically Israel, which is not even in the North Atlantic, would rush to aid a Muslim nation on the verge of independence and forming a new Muslim nation, would be down right gullible. Remember Bosnia. The forces fighting in Kosova have their own agenda, history has proved it.
This week NATO announced that if the bombing campaign is a success they will send in "peace-keeping troops". These troops will, like in so many other Muslim countries, keep an Islamic government, bound on the laws of Islam, from forming. They also have launched a propaganda campaign against the KLA (Kosova Liberation Army), which is the Muslim army that is fighting for the independence of Kosova. The reason for their attack on the KLA is none other than the KLA intends to establish an Islamic state. All of this is none other than an attack on Islam, from both ends. A young man on an Albanian newsgroup has said rightly that evil cant save us from evil. The NATO alliance has historically been against the establishment of Islamic states in Europe. They never allow Muslim armies to get enough arms to defend themselves. Then they wait until the Muslims are almost completely pulverised, then they move in like the saviours of the world. They hold the Muslim state in debted to them for their aid and therefore can control the establishment of government and economy. This keeps the Muslim country under secular rule, so as not to arouse an Islamic movement. They have all done this and always will. A spokesman for NATO was quoted as saying that Milosevic's opposition to NATO was like opposing God (not an exact quote). This shows what NATO is really about.
The only thing that we can do is to establish our Deens and our wealth as a tool to aid Muslims all over the world. We cannot rely on a Kafir to defend a Muslim. We must defend our own. NATO and any other Kafir force is guaranteed to have some other agenda. We should all make Du'aa to Allah (SWT) to strengthen the Muslims and give us victory over a people who disbelieve.
