Gaeilge CD ROM Resources. In order to raise badly needed funds for books, PE equipment, computer resources etc. we are making available a CD ROM, called Gaeilge Resources. These resources can be copied onto any number of computers in the school. The disk does not require any additional programs to be installed.The Gaeilge Resource disk contains the following: A: Forty individual lessons, as Gaeilge, that cover the basics in Word Processing for children as well as various lesson ideas. Click on link below for samples of what we have to offer. Remember that these sheets can be photocopied as required. B:Pictiúrlann. This consists of eighty photocopyable / reproducible sheets.There are three sections. 1:Foclóir: Each sheet contains 15 images with the relevant Irish word underneath.It covers verbs, nature, school, Christmas etc. See sample sheets re verbs by clicking on link below. 2:Seanfhocail:This consists of six seanfhocail per page written out in the Old Gaelic script. These are also photocopyable / reproducible. See sample sheet by clicking on link below. 3:Nathanna Cainte: Each page contains common Irish phrases that are very useful in essays. The English meanings of these phrases are also included on each sheet.See sample sheet by clicking on link below. C: Internet links. The disk also contains over 300 categorised educational links for primary schools. Twenty of these specificaly refer to Gaeilge while many more have an Irish element e.g. Links to Celtic Art, Irish History etc D:Fonts and Dingbats. We have collected over 100 Fonts and Dingbats that are quite useful for primary schools. These are especially useful for any project work the children may be involved in. For example, there is a version of the Sean Cló Gaelach included with these fonts. The site we downloaded these fonts from specifically said they were free. We are not including clipart with this disk as we will leave what we have on the site. However, there will a booklet included with the disk telling you how to install the contents of the disk onto your school's computer/s.
