| The Fianna were
a brave and fierce fighting
warriors. To be in the
Fianna was an honour. They
were under the control
of Fionn. They had two
hounds called Bran and
Sceolann.
To get into the Fianna you had to : ? Stand in a hole with spears cast at you and not get hurt. ? Run through the forest be chased and not get overtaken. ? Not break a twig under your foot. ? Run under a branch as low as your knee. jump over a branch as high as your head. ? Recite 12 books of poetry. ? Not to take a dowry with a wife. The
great members of the Fianna
were: Fionn, Oisin and Oscar
for their bravery, Goll Mac
Morna for his fighting
skills and Keelta Mac Ronan
for his speed. He once
killed a five headed monster
that took animals from
every farm in ireland.
