This web site is primarily a vehicle to share my photos with those who wish to see photos of bird life around Galway with a little extra thrown in like landscapes and insects.
The equipment I use is a Sony Alpha 700 and Sony 70-400 G lens
Nikon Fieldscope 82mm & Coolpix 6000 and Panasonic G1 digital cameras for digiscoping and Sony Camcorder HDR-SR12E.
I would like to thank a few people who have helped me along the way regarding the sometimes difficult subject of identifying some of the birds I have seen and photographed, in particular Tim Griffin and Mike Davis who have assisted me in developing my ID-ing skills and are still helping me every time I meet them out in the field.
Also thanks to Michael O’Clery. Pat Lonergan, Killian Mullarney, Dermot Breen, Derek Charles, Chris Peppiatt and everyone with BirdWatch Galway.
Thanks to Angus Tyner and Brian Nelson for his help with identifying the dragonflies.
Dedicated to my family
