Ballynoe Stone Circle.
This is a very
bad photo of Ballynoe, my camera was playing up and has since died. The circle
itself is quite hard to find if you don't know that part of the country, which
I don't, and the local people are prone to taking down the signs to reduce the
number of interested parties roaming about the area. Still it is an amazing
circle and is certainly something different for us Irish. Burl hints that it
might be Cumbrian and I can only conclude that he is correct.
This photo
shows Ballynoe stone circle with one of the outliers in the foreground. There
are quite a few of these outliers adding to the complexity of the site.
Another photo
which shows the outliers at the Ballynoe site with the circle in the
background.
This is a
close up of a section of the circle at Ballynoe. You can certainly see that it
is a strange circle for Ulster.
