Prize Day
Saturday 24 May 1997
At 6.30 pm on Saturday Prize Day was held. The evening beginning with the entry of the academic staff continued with a prayer from the President followed by a speech covering the various happenings of the year and the projections for the future. This was followed by the presentation of Subject Awards followed by Awards for Drama and Debating, Gold Medals for Religious Education, Special Awards for Outstanding Achievement and Service in the School followed by twenty Gold Medals (four for each Year) for outstanding work and service to the school, fifteen Academic Gold Medals (three for each Year) and finally, the General Excellence Award which this year was given to Niall Heffernan.
