Gaelic Football Training

Once or twice a week, Ms.Reilly,Pat McAndrew, Jimmy Mills and Christy Doocey take us for Inver National School football training. We used to go training in our own field but it was and still is very muddy and as a result of that we now train in Barnatra School’s field. At the beginning of training we warm up by doing 2 laps around the field and then we start training.
Our training usually involves us running to cones and shooting at goal or for a point but sometimes we do different drills.
After that training we play a match. Our teachers make two teams and then we just start playing against one another. I’d say the best bit of the football training would be the match.
We really enjoy football training and we all really appreciate the coaches giving up their spare time to improve our skills at Gaeilic.

The Donation Of Four Leather Footballs
In the beginning of Februar,y Pat and Eileen O Boyle donated four Gaelic footballs to the school football team. Having these footballs has been a great help to our training. Everyone knows how important it is to have proper footballs for training. A very special thank you to Eileen and Pat.
