Jedward came to Inver National School to raise their first Green Flag
On Friday 23rd April, Jedward came to raise the first Green Flag in Inver National School.

Green Flag and Jedward
On the 23rd of April 2010, John and Edward Grimes (Jedward) came to our school to raise our 1st ever green flag. John and Edward are two boys who were performing on the Xfactor 2010. We were all very excited. We all went outside and 11 30 am. People from the village and other schools came to watch them raise our flag. My friend Alanna came back after hurting her leg to see John and Edward. They arrived at 12 30 pm. Natalie and Kathleen King made a lovely banner for the day. They sang a song called Under Pressure for us, then they put up the flag. Everyone cheered because it was our first green flag. After that we did our Samba band performance for John and Edward. They thought it was very good and did some dance moves to it! They went inside and everyone rushed in to get their autograph!! I got my Jedward t-shirt signed and loads more. Everyone really enjoyed the day, and we had a little party afterwards. We are very proud of ourselves for getting the flag. That night Shannon and I went to their concert. We got really good seats and they waved to us when they saw us!!! It was a VERY good concert and I would LOVE to see John and Edward again ! ! !

Jedward in Inver National School
On Friday the 23rd of April, John and Edward aka Jedward came to our school to raise the Green Flag for us. It all started when we found out that we got our Green Flag. When we got the green flag someone had an idea that we should invite a star to raise the Green Flag for us. Nearly everybody chose Jedward so we asked them to come. We got in touch with someone who deals with e-mails for Jedward and he said we’ll be in touch. Weeks passed and eventually we got in touch with Jedward’s manager. He said they might come. A week or so passed and on that Wednesday, we found out that Jedward were actually coming. We were so excited, we couldn’t wait. On Friday they came. They were half an hour late but we didn’t mind. They did autographs, photos and they were really nice. I loved it when Jedward came and I think we should ask another star to come when we get our second green flag.

On the 23th of Arpil. Two special people came to our school and their names were John and Edward. It was a misty morning and we were really excited to see our favourite pop stars.
We got the news on Wednesday on the 23th that they were coming. Every teacher and pupil and other teachers went mental. We went home and we were grinning like happy cats. When we got home we told our parents and they were happy as well. It got out that Jedward were coming and it was even on Bebo, Face book and Twitter. In the morning we woke up knowing that two of our favourite pop stars were coming to our school to raise our first ever green flag.
We worked really hard for this flag. We thought we would not get the flag, but then when Eva Gannon said that she would put in a good report about us we prayed we had it in the bag.
Tony Shannon and Joe went to collect our green flag in Galway in the morning. Jedward were really nice. We got autographs. We were really grateful . We would like to thank the teachers for this great event.
