The Trip to Liverpool

May 2004

The children in Sixth Class in Inver National School went on an exciting trip to Liverpool in May 2004. This was part of their East/West project, where they got the chance to meet their e-pals from Prescot again. For details of their project, click here.

Hi I'm Patricia and our class went on a trip to Liverpool. It was great fun meeting your e-pals again. There were eleven of us going to Liverpool five boys and six girls. Two girls could not come. We cannot meet them again because we are in Sixth Class and it is our last year so that's disappointing. Our e-pals came over here last year. We had great fun. When we went over to England we went to the Beatles museum, the Maritime Museum, shopping, boat trip, Liverpool museum and the Anfield stadium. We went to the school where our e-pals go and we stayed at the Parry Peace Centre in Warington. Our mothers came with us and they liked it too. We went on a plane to Liverpool. I stayed in a room in the Peace Centre with some of my friends, their was Nicole, Margaret and I but the last night Christine stayed in our room. We were away for three days. Liverpool is so big and I want to go again sometime. Bye for now. By Patricia.

We all went to the Liverpool the 23rd of May to meet our e-pals. We went on the Mersey Ferry while we were there. We all didn't go to Liverpool as Ann-Maire and Rebecca didn't go. We waited at the Peace Centre in Warrington. It was set up to help young people to grow up to have a more peaceful life. It was started after the IRA attacked Warrington. We went shopping for the last day. We got loads of sweets for the last night. We were going to have a party but we had to be in the bedroom at 10 and in bed at 10:30. But I only came back from shopping at 10:30. The plane was great and we all had a great time there.

Hi my name is Margaret and I have got a story to tell about when I went to Liverpool to meet our e pals. I went with my classmates, our teacher, my sister and the parents of the other children. It was great fun. We stayed in the Parry Peace Centre that had a pool-table, a tennis table, computers and a soccer place. We went on a boat trip, museum, bowling, Liverpool stadium and shopping. There was a garden outside the place where we stayed and it had lots of things to do in it. Before we went to the airport we went to there school and then give us food to eat and then showed us around there school. It was really nice and cool. Then we went to the airport and we went home.By Margaret
