We are situated in the Mid-West region
of Ireland and are just 6 miles from Shannon Airport (but not on a flight path). Our Inn
is built on the old grounds of Bunratty Castle and consequently is only a stones throw
away from the Castle (one minute drive, 10 minutes walk). Bunratty Castle is the finest
example of a Medieval Castle in these isles. The present castle was built in 1260. It is
in beautiful condition and looks just as it would have in medieval times.
The yard of the castle holds the Folk Park (comprising of cottages, a
village street, church, an old mill, a schoolhouse, an early Georgian Manor House, and a
