January 2005
The student council held their first meeting of the new year on the 13th January. There were reports from all committees. The debs committee has started to collect the money for the Debs tickets. The year book committee have sent out letters to all 6th years regarding 6th year profiles. The Mural Committee are looking for people to come up with ideas and help produce this years mural.
October 2004
The Junior Student Council held their first meeting on the 13th October. Thankfully there was an excellent attendance. The Senior Student Council held their second meeting of the year on the 14th October. Issues raised during this meeting included the new school bullying strategy, introduction of hot food to the school. Training was held for all Student Council members on 18th October. Two Members of the Tipperary Regional Youth Service attended and gave student council members their views of what the Student Council is about and what the responsibilities of each member include. This proved a huge success and everyone enjoyed the team building and learning process. Contrary to this, a sub committee was then formed.
The year book committee held their first meeting on the 13th October. 21 people attended. This meeting included an introduction of what is required of students to do within this organisational committee and contracts were issued to all members.
The Debs committee held its first meeting on the 19th October which was attended by 20 students. This meeting included the chairperson and secretary outlining what has to be planned over the year.
The student council represented the school at the opening of the Cashel bypass on Monday the 11th October.
