The branch was officially launched on Saturday 14th of April 2007 at the Valley Lodge in Carrickmacross, “ At our first meeting last year on the 6th of June 2006 fourteen people turned up which included John Sherlock, Seamus Finnegan, Michael Gallagher, Michael Stephenson, John Gagney, Trevor Blanche, Paul McLoughlan, Paul McGovern and Seamus Gallagher, Garrett Doyle and from that number, seven referee’s were recruited to get the branch up and running. Since then things have progressed to the stage where we now have 22 referee’s registered with the FAI. Above you will see a picture of some of the members attending the official launch.
