Welcome to the Clogheen Community Playgroup, a community resource for all located in St. Theresa's Hospital grounds, Clogheen. The playgroup is not-for profit and community run. We aim to provide the pre-school children of our community with a warm, safe and stimulating environment. Children attending our playschool can learn important social skills that will help prepare them for the big step into primary education. Our Childcare Supervisor is fully qualified and encourages all children to develop at their own pace. |

Activities include: |

About Our Playgroup
We are regulated and part-funded by the South Eastern Health Board. The Playgroup Committee is made up of parents of children attending the facility.
As an on-going concern we welcome new members and community involvement.
We are very grateful to all in our community who assist and contribute to our fund-raising activities.
We also welcome visitors who may have interesting stories to relate to the children regarding their professions and anyone interested in speaking to the children is welcome to contact Sharon or Mary, or any committee member.
Again, we remain very grateful to all of the community for their continued support and assistance.
It is our aim to include as many children as possible to give all an equal start to their school life. New children are always welcome.
The playgroup is open Monday to Friday 9.20 am to 12.20 pm
Our main aims are:
| * To provide a safe, caring & stimulating environment for each pre-school child in our community | * To provide a quality pre-school childcare facility to meet community needs | * To ensure that the children attending our Playgroup develop and learn social skills through books, songs, rhymes, music, dance and role-play |

Fees 2003/2004
€7.00 per session (9.20am - 12.20pm) €45.00 per week (Mon. - Fri.)
We kindly request two weeks payment in advance, whether your child attends full-time or part-time. Payment is to cover wages for teachers rather than pupil attendance, therefore payment is required to cover these costs regardless of days missed through illness or holidays. Public holidays (including Good Friday) are also charged as teachers must be paid for these holiday periods.
Snacks
As part of their daily routine, the children will have a lunch break each morning. We would like to encourage the children to eat healthily, and recommend fruits, sandwiches, yoghurts and healthy drinks.
Child Safety
Your child’s safety and welfare is our primary concern.
For this reason, we need to be aware of who is authorised to collect your child. This is very important and should be taken as seriously by parents as the carers. We also request that children are brought directly into and collected from the Playschool door.
We request that you supply:
