with additional photographs from the collection of Irish Toner & poems by Cobh Writer May Boyce.

Items on loan from Cobh Museum, illustrating Cork Harbour's Colourful history.

FOUR GENERATIONS OF BOAT BUILDING ON THE GREAT ISLAND
A lecture on the Geary family influence on boat building on the Great Island including information on their involvement with well-known crafts such as One Design and Yum

COMMODORE JOHN KAVANAGH
THE FASTNET RACE OF 1979 (25TH ANNIVERSARY)
Commodore John Kavanagh, Retired Flag Officer, Irish Naval Services
Tells the tragic story of how "during the storm torn race from Cowes to Fastnet Rock 15 lives were tragically lost"
