ash-officialThis is the splendid official Ash site. It makes use of a lot of flash, which can be quite slow loading but the results are excellent. As far as I'm aware the whole site is in the process of getting a makeover, can't see why. There are many, many features including a chatroom and messageboard for fans to mingle. The sites only shortcoming is that the news section isn't updated very often.

ash-unofficialThe official unoffical Ash website. This website has been developed and maintained primarily by Jed Shepherd - massive Ash fan and writer of 'Slashed'. Ash-unofficial often recieves the news before the official website, so if your looking for the latest, point your browser in this direction.

planet ashContains, among other things, the mother of all lyrics sections (I counted 80 songs!). Alison also has a large articles section, many of which she typed up herself. I also like the nifty drop down menu she employed to enhance the navigation of the site. Alison's site also looks fantastic, thanks to a recent facelift. Good stuff!

free all ashFree All Ash is the home of Matthew Hurst, the same guy that penned the poem in the liner notes for the 'There's A Star' DVD. Features here include interviews with other Ash fans, and Matt's ultimate Ash album. It's a shame there's no poetry section as that is what Matt's best known for. You can also see more of Matt's work on ash-unofficial.

university of ashOne of only a handful of fansites coming at us from the states, and what a site it is. I'm not usually a fan of frames, but in this case they complement the site perfectly. An excellent resource for all Ash fans stateside - always upto date, and there are bucketloads of features - one of my favourites being the 'artwork' section, check out a rather tubby looking Mark!

jedisteve's big ash tab pageIf you have a dial up connection, you might aswell go and put the kettle on while you wait for this page to load, it takes an age! Saying that though, its definatly worth waiting for. The site may appear as a tab site, which indeed it is, but in fact it covers a lot more such as news, profiles etc. The tab section is second to none, with a huge amount of Ash's back catalogue tabbed. The sites design is quite simple, but serves its purpose well (despite the loading time!).

ash onlineAsh Online has all that you would expect of a typical Ash site, pictures, reviews, lyrics, biography, and a recently improved discography. Another recent addition is the profile for Charlotte. Navigating the different areas of the site is quite easy, and each section is pretty fast loading. Ash-Online just seems to be lacking something, can't quite put my finger on it though.

world of ashSamantha Rawlings warns us that this is her first attempt at designing a website, but 'world of ash' has been up and running long before the days of Ricks mohawk! Sam seems to be in the process of adding features, as the competition and lyrics sections are under construction. The news section is good, and includes pics of the artwork for forthcoming singles and the like. Worth a visit.

ash rare and live archiveCreated by old-skool fan Stephen Buxton (just take one look at the backgroud!), here you'll find various Ash related mp3's available for download such as radio interviews and acoustic sets. Stephen promised an mp3 a day when the site went back up a while back, but unfortunately hasn't fulfilled his promise and as a result there is very little content. Hopefully he will get some more stuff on there soon, as the idea is top notch!

jonny bulldog's ash siteJonny's site presents us with a lot of features, one of which being an annoying little mouse following thing-a-ma-jig. Designwise, I've seen better, but its obvious a lot of effort has gone in here so credit where credits due. There's also some nice ash-related images present, one of my favourites being the ash/south-park pic.

the ashlandI like 'the ashland', more features than you can shake a stick at, with a nice colour scheme to boot. There's a section dedicated to the fans and a quiz, aswell as the usual news section, profiles etc. Unfortunatly things seem to have taken a turn for the worse lately, as it hasn't been updated in a while, with numerous dead links as a result.

the aussie ash pageThis fansite is pink. Very pink. Nice design though! The 'AAA' has just re-emerged recently after going offline for a while, so new stuff is being added all the time. While it's very easy to hop from section to section, most of the site need updating. You might have to re-adjust the text size setting in your browser (View - Textsize) upon entering, otherwise you'll have to browse magnifying glass in hand. Melly has recently employed the services of Manoj to help with the upkeep of the site, so keep checking back for updates!

always ashWithout doubt, one of the best fansites on the net design-wise, 'always ash' is simply gorgeous. It's a bit short on content, but whats there is excellent. One of the features is a multimedia section, where you can find various desktop wallpapers, winamp skins, and fonts that Ash have used for recent artwork. Well worth checking out despite the fact it hasn't been updated in almost a year now, which is a shame.

live at the wire'Live At The Wire' has been graced with many awards, and justifiably so. With features by the cartload, a new design enhancing the its navigation, this site ranks among the best Ash fansites online. Your also given the chance to win various pieces of Ash merchandise every now and then in the competition section, a nice touch, and something that I've never seen on any other Ash site.

lonely seasonJen, the author of 'lonely season', seems to have spurts of updating her site. The latest being as of November last year! A biography, discography, various tabs, a poll, and lyrics are some of the elements included. Browsing through these various features is made easy with a nifty navigation bar located at the top of each page. Its worth a look, and if your lucky, she might have had a spurt recently!

alde's ash pageI love this page! It's five years old and I was really lucky to stumble across it. It's not a fansite, merely a single page telling of an American fan writing about his encounter with Ash way back in 1997. He was one of 3 people to come to see Ash at one particular gig. You'll only ever visit this page once, but it's definatly worth it!

projectsFrom what I can tell, 'projects' was set up with the intention of providing much the same service as this here site, that being links to interviews, reviews and so on. However, it seems its creater -'krazycat' gave up the ghost quite quickly, and thus there is little to no content. Good idea though!

the little pondI'm not sure what happened to this fansite, as it was updated at least once a week for about 6 months, the last being from Feb '99 when the creator was talking about his future plans for the site, but it hasn't been touched since. The content is quite old as a result, but there is a lot of it including guitar/drum tabs, and a reasonably large articles section.

ash at the alternatorI was very suprised I had never come across this site before, and I'm sure many others would think the same upon visiting it. It deserves to be promoted a bit better, the extremely long URL doesn't help matters though. Updated frequently, lots of good content (especially the discography), nice design, excellent site!

heroin, vodka and ashHave you heard about the secret fifth member of Ash known as 'Made Indar'? Neither had I until I came across the profiles page of 'nuclear-ash'! The biography section is also quite unusual, a lot of the sentences seem to have been cut short for some reason. Go and have a look, if nothing else it's certainly erm.... interesting!
