1)  Competitors sail entirely at their own risk. Dublin Bay Sailing Club its race officers, committee and organizers shall not be liable in the event of any claim for accident or mishap.
2)  It is the sole responsibility of each helmsman/owner to decide whether to sail or not in every case.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

For the year 2011 season each class has to decide what are its appropriate safety regulations/ safety equipment rules and deposit them together with a compliance/inspection procedure with the DBSC Hon. Secretary before races are provided for the class. Completion of this form is confirmation of entrant’s undertaking to conform to the relevant class regulations when they have been formulated and accepted

FEES & SUBSCRIPTIONS
The entry fee for each boat is based on the crew number appropriate to the class in which it competes. It includes the annual subscription of those nominated on the form. Members whose membership is not linked to any specific boat may pay the annual subscription of 93 separately. Where the member is aged 70 or over, the annual subscription for those paying separately is 13. Also included is the Boat Entry fee - 65 for Cruisers 0,1 2, 3 & 31.7s,55 for other keelboats, 45 for dinghies.

CRUISER CLASS INFORMATION

Boats intending to race under IRC must submit a copy of their 2011 certificate to the Hon.Secretary prior to racing. No record will be made until after receipt of the certificate. Any change in handicaps must be advised to the Hon.Secretry in writing as soon as possible. Boats intending to race under ECHO must possess a valid 2011certificate. ECHO handicaps will be advised independently to DBSC by the relevant authority. Boats in cruiser classes will be divided as follows on the basis of their ISA Standard ECHO Reference Handicap/IRC Handicap (subject to the Committee’s right to allocate a boat to any class):

CRUISERS 0 -Boats at 1.040 and above
CRUISERS 1 -Boats from 0.980 to1.039
CRUISERS 2 -Boats from 0.920 to 0.979
CRUISERS 3 -Boats from 0.835 to 0.919
CRUISERS 4 -Boats at 0.834 and below

Thhe Committee may allow boats in cruiser classes that compete with  the same ownership and configuration as in 2010 breakpoints to participate in the same class  in 2011 This option must be taken up before the 2011 season commences.
