The
Prism Editor is an 'environmentally
friendly' editor designed for Windows NT/95/98. No matter what
type of files you edit on a daily basis, the editor can incorporate them
into a productive system. It has all the features of a fully functional
text editor but it has a lot more too! Many people use it as a text
viewer rather than just an editor. An ordinary text report can instantaneously
be color co-ordinated and have it's own macros to assist with further analysis.

Log files
can be large output files obtained from specific processes e.g. simulation,
compilation etc. The user sometimes needs to extract and process specific
types of information. User-Defined functions can be added to parse the
file for errors or warnings or for anything you may wish to highlight or
extract . Log files can sometimes be profiled into a summary format. |

Report
files can usually be smaller than log
files and contain concise information e.g. a compilation report or a synthesis
report. Report files respond well to color co-ordination as it really
aids the user when viewing them. Again, User defined functions can
be added to obtain specific information. |

Other
files that can be incorporated by the
Prism Editor can range from tool configuration files e.g. ini files to
constraint files (ucf, cst, pin) . If it has an extension and it is a text
file then it can be colored and optimized with the Prism Editor. |
