Today the students and teachers of St
Louis Secondary School remember the victims of the twin
towers.

NATIONAL DAY OF MOURNING
Today 14th September 2001 the Community
gathered together to remember the victims and their families
following the the attack on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon in the
USA. An Ecumenical service was held in St Joseph's Church. As in
towns and cities all over Ireland, all Public Buildings, Business,
shops and Community activities closed in Carrickmacross.

half mast on the Courthouse

Friday 14th September
Apart from cars returning from
the service, the town was closed
