The book was launched before a packed and enthusiastic audience in Dublin on Friday 20th October, by Margaret McCurtain O.P.
A copy of the book was presented to the President of Ireland, Mary Robinson, by the BASIC core group and seminar speakers on Thursday 2nd November at 10am at Áras an Uachtaráin. The President received the group very graciously, and accepted the book from Soline Vatinel with enthusiasm. Each of the group was introduced to the President, and many photographs were taken. Afterwards the group was given a guided tour of Áras an Uachtaráin.

Women - Called to be Priests
7 Questions for reflection, discussion and discernment.
This discussion paper was launched by Dr. Gabriel Daly, OSA, at Staunton's on the Green, Dublin, on 5th November 1996 - see text and picture of the launch. The brochure was subsequently distributed outside churches in Dublin, Bray, Galway, Cork, Waterford, Clonmel and Athlone. Almost 50,000 leaflets were distributed in all.
