Canon 1024 of the Roman Catholic Church states: "Only a baptized male (vir) validly receives sacred ordination."
The purpose of this list is to foster prayer, dialogue, and action pursuant to the priestly ordination of women in the liturgical churches, including the Roman Catholic Church. Therefore this is an ecumenical meeting, even though canon 1024 of the RCC is used to provide focus for the dialogue.

Roman Catholics, Anglicans, Orthodox, and other Christian brothers and sisters who see the need for women in ordained ministry are cordially invited to join. This list will serve to share experiences, encourage each other, pray for each other.
Brothers and sisters who do not see the need for such reformation are also invited to join and contribute their views, and reasons for opposing the ordination of women, as long as such contribution is made in a spirit of Christian charity.
No flaming will be allowed from either side of the issue. IMHO, the male-only priesthood is *not* of divine will. However, our goal is to seek the truth in charity, with proper respect toward those who are in apostolic succession, and following the model of community discernment given to us in Acts 15. May God's will be done.
The peace of Christ,
Luis
