The make-up of the Athlone & District Schoolboy
League executive committee has received a complete overhaul,
as Kevin O'Neill of the Westmeath
Independent reports.
Four new people have been elected onto the committee
as the League attempts to come to terms with the departure
of several long-serving members over the past year.
Well known Schoolboy League servants Michael Butler
and John Nolan both left the set-up recently. And now
they're followed by Seamus Carr of St. Joseph's FC,
who gave 15 years service to the League. He stepped
down as Treasurer at their AGM last wehek.
Terry O'Neill also vacated his post as Fixtures Secretary,
a complicated and difficult role which he filled with
excellence and extreme competence according to re-elected
Secretary, Breffni Rowan.
