ATHLONE TOWN have confirmed the details of their home eircom League of Ireland Cup First Round tie against Longford Town.

The game goes ahead in Athlone Town Stadium on Monday April 2nd. Kick-off has been set for 7:30pm.

As this competition now falls under the remit of the FAI, Season Tickets will NOT be accepted for this game. This decision is out of the control of Athlone Town FC.

ATHLONE TOWN made it two wins from two home games on Sunday afternoon, when they convincingly beat Wexford Youths 3 - 0 in the first ever encounter between the two sides.

In a game where Stevie Gavin made his 100th appearance for the Club, the home side were always in control, with Danny O'Leary rarely called into action.

Town showed their intent from the off, when Noel McGee flashed a shot across the face of goal after just two mintes.
