Reply from Mick Fagan, South Dublin County Council There are approximately 50 Traveller families currently living in the Lynches Lane Temporary site (23),the Balgaddy Emergency Facilities site (17)and the Emergency Facilities site beside Kishogue (10). They will be accommodated in the redeveloped Lynches Lane and Kishogue Traveller Accommodation Developments (10 bays and 10 houses in each)and in the io unit group housing scheme at Haydens Lane.

We are awaiting cost approval from the DoELG for Kishogue. On receipt of same we will be advertising for tenders to have the site built.

We have requested the Co Architect to prepare design drawings in respect of the other two developments to enable the commencement of the Part 8 Planning Consultation Process.

We are confident that all three developments will be ready for occupation by summer 2004.

With regard to the Mongan family on the unauthorised encampment at Balgaddy we are continuing our efforts to locate an alternative location for their permanent accommodation.

Itrust that the above clarifies the up to date situation.

Regards,Mick Fagan
