Welcome. The aim of this site is to provide an opportunity for the Irish abroad to express their desire to vote in the forthcoming Presidential election. The right to vote is something that has been denied to the Irish abroad continually by successive Irish Governments over the years. Ireland is now the only country in Europe and one of the few democracies in the world that denies it's citizens abroad a voice.
The site contains information on each of the candidates as well as statements from candidates expressing their viewpoint on the Importance of the Irish abroad in modern Ireland and their opinion on voting rights for the Irish abroad.
On this site we also provide information regarding the campaign to grant the Irish abroad the right to vote in Irish elections for a fixed amount of years after becoming non-resident, as well as interesting articles relating to the present generation of emigrants.
