Castle Hamilton
The buildings of Castle Hamilton are some of the oldest in Killeshandra. Locally referred to as 'The Castle', there is little left of the original 17th century fortifications. The Hamilton Estate is now a privately owned farm and some of the old buildings have been converted into tourist accomodation.
Church Street and the Old Church
We walk down Church Street and take a look at the ruins of the old church from which the Killeshandra gets its name. We then travel towards Croghan.
Main Street, Railway Road and Castle Street
A series of photographs that takes us through the main parts of the town, starting with the very first view of Killeshandra visitors see as they enter the town from Cavan.
The Churches of Killeshandra
Starting at St Brigid's Catholic Church, about a mile outside the town, we then visit the Church Of Ireland Parish Church and the Methodist Church in the town before visiting the Presbyterian Church at Croghan.
