In March of this year , we opened our Information Technology Centre, which boasts 15 state of the art Computers which are networked and linked to a central hub. Each user has access to Email and Internet and a wide range of Multi-media Software. It is our aim that every student be fully computer literate on leaving the College. This will be achieved through formal computer studies classes, specific training in Microsoft Office - Word Processing, Spreadsheet, File Management, Database Construction and Internet Usage.

Gurteen decided to impliment NetOp as the preferred Computer Teaching Aid. It allows the Tutor to Demonstrate an exercise from the Tutors PC to the whole classroom or to specific PC's in the classroom.
A Tutor can also acces Students PC's to open applications, check exercises, file transfer, chat etc.

NetOP is now recognised as the PC Classroom Solution.

Gurteen College will also be implementing a range of the most popular Agricultural Computer Packages in the very near future to give the Student a well rounded education in this growing and essential field.
