The
Risc PC uses the latest technology in RISC processors to deliver outstanding
performance. Performance is further increased by the Operating System,
RISC OS, which is efficient, simple to use and very reliable.
RISC OS features a Graphic User Interface, which hides
the complexity of the computer and provides an environment of friendliness.
It can literally be used by five year olds. The Risc PC is an ideal Multimedia
platform featuring an unrivalled combination of graphics, font and Multimedia
technologies. Applications for the system include a large number of productivity
tools such as Word Processing and Database applications through to expert
music publishing systems and broadcast video editing.
This does not mean that it is not a programmers machine,
even assembly level programming is easily achieved through the BASIC interpreter
and C/C++ is available as an add-on.
There is provision for a second Processor card, such as
a 586 to allow Windows and DOS applications to be run. This card can share
your computers resources such as printers, network cards and Zip drives.
