The ideal desktop companion at home or in the office, the BJC-4300 packs a real punch with its flexible range of cartridges, print media and advanced Bubble Jet technology.

BJC-4300
The BJC-4300 works with Windows® 95, 3.1x and NT, and it's supremely easy to set up and control. Just plug in, load the printer driver software and away you go - no specialist knowledge is required. Unlike other ink jet machines, it even boasts an automatic power-off function, which saves electricity when the printer is not in use.

Pushed for space? No problem! The BJC-4300 has a compact "footprint" of just 383 x 232 x 203mm (W x D x H), helping to keep your desktop clear. For maximum productivity, it's supplied with an automatic sheet feeder which carries up to 100 sheets of paper at a time, so you won't have to keep reloading. There's a manual feeder, too, for envelopes, film, transfers or headed paper. Both feeders will accept media up to 105gsm.

Image Optimizer
Smooth away those jagged edges ! The BJC-4300 uses Image Optimizer processing technology to improve the quality of low resolution images such as you might capture from the Internet, a digital camera or a low-resolution scanner.

Drop Modulation TechnologyTM
The BJC-4300 outputs sharp black text and bright vivid colours using Drop Modulation Technology to enhance the 720 x 360 dots per inch resolution beyond conventional printers with higher dots per inch values. We keep hearing about higher and higher resolution but what does it actually mean? Quality is dependent on the shape, colour and size of the dots. Using Drop Modulation Technology the BJC-4300 creates images from dots of different sizes and colour small dots for areas of low saturation and fine graphics large dots for saturated colour. Images have greater depth of colour, subtlety of shading and less grain than those produced by printers with supposedly higher resolutions.

Black-only printing at laser speed
Insert the optional high capacity BC-20 Mono Cartridge and you can print black text at an impressive 4.5 pages per minute in High Speed Mode. Smudge resistant characters are clearly defined with smooth edges for a crisp, clean look.

True-to-life photos
For stunningly realistic results, slot in the optional BC-22e Photo Cartridge, which uses low optical density inks and the latest Drop Modulation TechnologyTM to maximise reproduction quality. The Photo Cartridge is also supplied in a special Photo Kit, which includes a supply of High Resolution Paper everything you need to print photographic images captured from a scanner, digital camera, photo CD or the Internet.

Glowing reports

The optional BC-29F Fluorescent Cartridge - unique to Canon - enables you to print fluorescent colours: ideal for adding extra impact to reports, presentations, invitations, greetings cards and T-shirt transfers!

Banner Printing

The BJC-4300 accepts continuous banner paper, allowing you to produce personalised, eye-catching banners up to 6 pages in length.

Scanning

Insert the optional Colour Image Scanner Cartridge into the BJC-4300, and you can scan photo's images and documents straight into your PC! This gives you full colour sheet-fed scanning capability up to 360 dots per inch resolution. An IEEE-1284 compliant ECP parallel interface is provided for impressively fast data transmission. When you have finished scanning, simply replace the scanner cartridge with an ink cartridge, and the BJC-4300 will be ready to print. (To use the Colour Image Scanner Cartridge your PC must operate under Windows® 95.)
