Photograph? Bubble Jet Print? With Canon's Colour Bubble Jet printer, the BJC-7000, you really have difficulty telling them apart.

The BJC-7000 uses advanced Plain Paper Optimised Printing to produce high quality results on plain paper. It can also be used to print on a wide variety of other types of display and photographic media. The special dye-based inks in the resident black and colour cartridges are water-fast, smudge proof and fade resistant; crisp black text and vibrant colours can all be printed on the same page.

Plain Paper Optimised Printing
The BJC-7000 is the only printer in its class which is capable of sharp water-fast black and colour printing on plain, uncoated paper, using inks that will not streak or run when wet.*

This is achieved using the unique Ink optimiser liquid which is contained in the BC-60 Mono Cartridge. This liquid is used to coat the surface of plain paper before any ink is deposited, then coagulates with the ink, ensuring that text and graphics do not smudge or bleed.

Ink Optimiser is applied whenever the BC-60 Mono Cartridge is used in conjunction with plain untreated paper making it ideal for use on ready printed stationery. The resulting output has a high optical density, characterised by brilliant depth of colour and laser quality black text.

*Smudging will occur only if it is touched before the ink is completely dry.

The high capacity cartridges all have an impressively long life - in fact, the BC-61 Colour Cartridge contains sufficient ink to print 320 colour pages.

The BC-60 Mono Cartridge enables you to print superb laser-quality black text and graphics at speeds at up to 4.5 pages per minute. Smudge resistant characters are clearly defined at 1200 x 600 dots per inch resolution, with automatically smoothed edges for a crisp, clean look.

Unbelievable Photographic Output

For superb reproduction of photographic images, insert the optional BC-62 Photo Cartridge alongside the BC-60. Designed to deliver sharp, true-to-life prints of images captured from photo-CDs, scanners, digital cameras and the internet, it uses 7 special low-density inks at nine different levels of reproduction, eliminating unwanted 'graininess'. Using the appropriate media you'll find it hard to tell from a photograph.

The BJC-7000 will accept A4, A5, B5, Letter and Legal paper, and printed right up to the edge of A4 by printing on A4+. It's also ideal for the production of proofs and visuals to show you exactly how the finished version of a design will look. DL and Commercial size envelopes are accepted too.

Weighty Choice Of Paper
In addition to plain paper and envelopes, this versatile printer can also be used with a wide range of other media, ranging from many different types of photographic and display material to fabric sheets and T-shirt transfers.

Up to 130 sheets of paper can be loaded at a time into the printer's automatic sheet feeder, saving time and enhancing productivity. Film, card and other print media can be loaded into the machine via a manual feeder, which accepts any weight of material up to 550 gsm that's heavier than most business cards.

The printer is easy to set up and control, and is fully compatible with Windows® 95, 3.1x and NT operating systems. Just load the printer driver, and away you go - no specialist computer knowledge is required.
