CANON'S NEW LBP-1260 PLUS office
laser printer is the successor to the powerful LBP-1260. The LBP-1260 PLUS
has a duplex printing option and network compatibility. With 12ppm, PCL5e
emulation and 600 dpi, the LBP-1260 PLUS combines high quality print, at
fast speeds, with industry standard compatibility to produce an extremely
versatile printer.
Additional features include 12 months on-site warranty and 2Mb of RAM all included at a very attractive price. Postscript and Appletalk interfaces, and a range of paper handling extras are also available as options. The power and flexibility of the LBP-1260 PLUS makes it the ideal solution as the workhorse printer for any office environment using either PCs or Macs. It's capable of handling a diverse range of output - from data-intensive image files to high-volume printing jobs. The LBP-1260 PLUS is based on the successful EX printer engine and incorporates an Intel NG80960KB-25 RISC processor. The standard 2Mb of RAM enables 600dpi output, which is upgradeable to 34Mb for complex graphics output. Print quality has also been enhanced through the use of Canon's Automatic Image Refinement technology. This smoothes the jagged edges of graphics and text resulting in an effective resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi. Canon further improves quality by using super fine toner in the EP-E cartridge. The LBP-1260 PLUS has built-in PCL5e emulation with optional Postscript and LocalTalk ports. The Automatic Interface switching capability enables users to send data to any port without changing settings. While the printer is also capable of handling large volumes of output with a standard 250-sheet cassette and 100-sheet multipurpose tray, an optional 500 sheet feeder, increases the maximum paper capacity to 850 sheets. An optional envelope feeder further enhances the LBP-1260 PLUS's media handling capabilities. Other features include: Memory Reduction Technology, Canon's latest memory management system; energy saving sleep mode to conserve power and reduce running costs; and Universal Font Scaling Technology (UFST) giving users access to 45 fonts.
