This is an intensive course in which students study aspects of the unique culture that has formed the Irish character. Students will study a diversity of topics, including: pre-historic architecture, the archaeology of the Dingle Peninsula, Celtic society and customs, medieval monasticism, the Famine, Irish film-making and aspects of Irish literature and art. The course is taught through a combination of on-site lectures, seminars and field study to allow students to experience Ireland and Irish culture in-depth and at first-hand.
