"I strongly believe that many people would learn much more about their lives in general by simply going to Ireland, having a few pints, chatting with friends and thinking about themselves from an outside perspective.
I know I have."

Patrick White

"Ireland is a beautiful country. The people welcome you with open arms and are genuinely interested in hearing what we have to say."

"My homestay was worth more than I could ever say. My host lady, whom I now refer to as ‘Mom’, not only became my mother figure, but also my friend. She is the most generous individual I have encountered. I feel that I have made a lifetime
best friend."

Nick Karry

Students can be housed in student housing or in family homes. Breakfast and dinner are included in both options, and students may use facilities in college to make lunches. ICH has its own humanities library and students are guest members of the Kerry County Library, which houses the county’s large Irish Studies section.  Students are encouraged to become part of the life of the town. From community sports teams to volunteer work to socializing in the pubs, ICH offers you the opportunity to open your mind and to gain experience that will prove valuable throughout your college career and far beyond.
