The River Maigue flows
through the Manor grounds and meets the Shannon Estuary downstream
of Adare Village. This is a rich limestone river that drains
the lush and beautiful pastures of Tipperary and Limerick's Golden
Vale. The River Maigue at Adare Manor has a good stock of Wild
Brown Trout. Fish weighing up to 3 lbs have been caught on fly.
All of the usual fly's
associated with a limestone river, the Mayfly, Olives, Sedges,
Nymphs, etc. work well. We also have Two Brown Trout lakes on
the property, fish weighing up to 5 lbs have been caught on both
of these lakes. |

Full time Professional Angling
Guide, Jim Robinson, is available on site to provide Fly fishing
lessons,
tackle hire, wet gear & boots, etc.
Salmon
Over the past few years the Maigue
has seen a good run of Spring Salmon, Fish weighing up to 20
lbs have been caught when the conditions are right.
For our guests we also have access to one of Irelands most famous
Salmon fisheries, the Castleconnell beats on the Majestic River
Shannon.
Special Angling Outings.
We specialize in fun and friendly
angling outings and enjoy teaching individuals and groups the
fine art of fishing.
A fun fishing outing, whether for an hour, an afternoon, or a
full day, can provide an enjoyable diversion for the business
executive or conference delegate and is also great fun for all
the family.

Angling Tuition.
Whether you are a beginner or
an improver, angling lessons are available either privately or
in a group with on site professional, Jim Robinson.
Pike fishing is available all year round in The Shannon Region
The River Shannon, it's largest Lake Lough Derg, and the numerous
lakes in County Clare provide unparalleled Pike fishing from
bank and boat.
To help you capture that big Pike, a possible record breaker,
a specimen fish or just a new personal best,

Sea Angling
If you are a deep sea angling
enthusiast, then Sea fishing trips in fully licensed charter
boats can be arranged for you.

catch and release.
