EUROPEAN PIKE ANGLING CHALLENGE 2010

RULES
1. Fishing from boats and
only pike will count.
2. Artificial lures and dead bait only.
3. Fish finders and depth sounders are allowed.
4. No subs allowed.
5. Only one rod may be used at any one time.
6. All fish must be taken to a weigh station
where they will be recorded and released by a steward.
7. Definitely no dead fish will be weighed
in. All fish muust be capable of swimming away under their own
power after being weighed.
8. Minimum size limit -
all fish will be weighed.
9. The anglers with the highest aggregate
weight in the home and visitor category over the three days will
be the winners. In the event of a tied weight then the angler
with the most fish will win.
10. Any dispute must be
brought to the attention of the organising committee within 30
minutes of end of days fishing. The committee reserve the right
to have the final decision in all matters.
11. Competition time each
day will be from 10am to 5pm. Draw for places will take place
each morning at 9.am at the Tourist Office,Killaloe. All competitors must be at the starting
point by 9.30am. Anglers that have not checked in by 9.45am will
be disqualified from that days fishing.
12. Anglers will be given a catch card which
will be filled in at weigh points and may be used by competitors
to check their weights with the master score card.
13. Agreement to be reached by competitors
(in each boat) to decide the amount of time given to various
methods of angling.
14. The organising committee
will accept no liability for any injuries sustained or tackle
lost or damaged by competitors during the course of the competition.
15. In the event of any one competitor not
showing up on any one day, the remaining competitor will be allocated
a place on another boat.
16. All fish to be handled carefully and
returned to the water immediately after weighing.
Results
of each days catch will be displayed each evening at the following
locations. Monday Crottys Bar, Killaloe: Tuesday Richardsons
Bar, Killaloe: Thursday Final results and prize giving at 8pm
in the Lakeside Hotel, Killaloe. This will be followed by an
evening of entertainment - all are welcome to join in the evenings
celebrations.
