![]() Here's a few observations on the new Industry Giant game:
In a game I played, an efficient network of 13 trains servicing 2 car factories and 3 dealerships failed to make more of a profit than 2 trains making sports equipment for a sports store ! Sometimes trains whose load is 3 of one object and 3 of another fail to convert 100% of these into goods at a factory, leaving a large amount of raw materials which you have to pay for. e.g. Plastic and Steel are used to make mountain bikes, a train takes 3 plastic units and 3 steel to a factory and should convert them to 3 units of mountain bike. Sometimes the train will only make 2 units of product from these raw materials, the plastic disappearing and leaving you with loads of steel. The only answer I can see is to load 2 and 2. I came across a number of careless flaws in the game such as: The profit on cars in a dealership was quoted as -£16,000, whereas it is actually a positive figure. Some of the scenarios give to you to complete are practically impossible as the money dries up in about 2 minutes.
