Jeunesses Musicales Ireland

JM Ireland was formed in September 1995 to link Ireland to the FIJM world and to make FIJM activities (traditional music, jazz, pop, rock, classical music) available to young Irish musicians.

Annual auditions will be coordinated by JM Ireland for the FIJM World Youth Orchestra and World Youth Choir.

FIJM was founded after World War II in 1945 and celebrated its 50th birthday in 1995. It is the largest cultural organisation in UNESCO.

Jeunesse Musicales Ireland is a non-profit making association registered as a charity and run by a voluntary Board representing many national organisations and institutions. JM Ireland and FIJM worldwide value equally all forms of music.

Jeunesse Musicales activities in member countries around the world include: festivals, competitions, summer programmes, summer courses, concerts for young audiences, concerts to promote young artists, information networks, music clubs for children, residential music centres for young people.

There are three levels of annual fee:

for large associations, groups, organisations
for small associations, groups, organisations
for individuals

All young people represented by an association or organisations are deemed to be members of Jeunesse Musicales Ireland.

JM Ireland will be funded by:
