Welcome to our School Web!

This Web Page is being maintained by the students of the Marist Convent, Tobercurry, Co Sligo.  The purpose of our Web Page is threefold:

1. To provide a public presentation of our school.

2. To  establish links with other schools and educational interests.

3. To foster a deeper sense of community by presenting an amalgam of past and present considerations.  We would be particularly interested in hearing from past students from home or abroad.

The "Our History" page provides both historical and geographical perspectives to our school.  It will also provide links to other sites dealing with, for example, LOCAL HISTORY and sites which provide GRAPHIC illustrations of either the past or present.  Our "Latest School News" page will provide updated bulletins on all school activities as well as relevant local news.  The remaining pages will also be updated when necessary.

Putting together a Web Page involves making many decisions as to what to include and exclude.  We are very conscious that a Web Page can be greatly enhanced by the inclusion of graphics, video, sound and animations.   It is our intention to provide examples of each in the forthcoming weeks and so provide an interesting and informative Page.  In the meantime, if you would like to CONTACT us with comments, ideas or suggestions for the future development of our Web Page, please feel free to do so.  Many thanks for taking the time to drop in.
