These web pages

I know these pages are not very flashy. The reason is mostly that I have decided I will concentrate on the content first, get the pages online, and then think about the presentation when I get the time...

Another reason is that I don't want to cut out anyone from reading the page simply because they use a different browser from mine. Later on, some images (maps etc.) will be added to these pages, so I suppose if you're not using a graphical browser of some kind you will miss out on something, but there should be no other problems for any browser around (I hope).

In the future some Netscapisms etc. will probably start appearing in these pages, but at that point it will probably mean I have some time to devote to layout, so I will try either to do things so that the "funny codes" don't break other browsers, and all that goes lost is a bit of graphical subtlety, or otherwise to have two sets of pages, one text-oriented and one layout-oriented.

In any event, if you have some comments on these pages, suggestions for improvements etc. etc. you are very welcome to mail me by clicking on the virtual postman.

The authors

Anna, the old and wise DM, is a technical translator with a degree in Finnegans Wake. She would like to sit in a rocking chair by the fire with a cat in her lap and tell stories, but she's allergic to cats. She's quite into things medieval, computers and fantasy writing.

Laurence, the sneaky and cackling DM's sidekick, is a sociologist with a primary degree in history of ideas. He's well into trudging round rainy hillsides in pursuit of archaeological remains; likes pre-industrial folksongs; and collects pagan literature, both historical and contemporary.
