The Numberless Islands campaign was a game of AD&D by e-mail. These web pages were created mainly as a reference point for the players, with some basic general information on the campaign and the world where it is set; some more material was added later, including parts of the story as it developed.
The campaign was great fun while it lasted, but eventually Real Life (TM) took over and I found it impossible to keep running this game. So the game is over. The pages are remaining, because Web space is cheap and some people might still find something fun, or some inspiration, by looking at these pages.
I also want to apologize to anybody who's interested for the delay in changing these pages and announcing the end of the game. For a while, the end of the campaign was a bit of a sore point for me, so I could never find the right time to take these pages in hand again and update them. I want to apologize particularly to all the people who wrote to me asking to become lurkers: some of them got an answer, some of them didn't -- I apologize to all.
Finally, many thanks are due to all the players who made this possible. Some of the material in these pages was written by the players, other things would not have existed without their input and participation. This is one of the reasons why I ask to seek my permission before using any of the material in these pages: some of it is not mine to give away.
Anyway: if you want to see what the campaign was like, I suggest that you start by reading the Players' introduction. Or you might prefer lo look at the pieces of local colour on these pages.
Otherwise, for more choices...
