The pages listed in this section are collections of links to linguistic resources on
the Web. All languages are covered here, not just English and Italian. While some
duplication is unavoidable, exploring these links can lead to interesting and useful
discoveries. Furthermore, different pages organize resources in different ways and
emphasize different things: have a look and see what you find...
- The Human-Languages Page
Possibly the most interesting page on the Web for language links
of all kinds. It includes links to resources listed by language
and also lists of multilingual or general resources, plus links
to other useful collections.
[8 June 97] The above link seems to be having some problems.
If you can't connect, you can try this alternative
address.
- Aquarius home page
An extremely interesting and useful page for translators - or for
those who are looking for translators. It hosts the first and probably
the main (although not the only) list of translators on the Internet,
organized by language and speciality: freelance translators can
add their name to the list for free, agencies for a small fee.
The page also includes the Graffiti "notice board", links
to the Lantra archives and other
useful links and resources.
- The Translator's
Home Companion
Another very interesting page designed specifically with translators
in mind, with many links to useful resources.

A collection of general linguistic resources, including dictionaries,
schools, news sources and much more. Languages covered are Dutch,
English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Russian.

of terminological research and work. A real treasure of resources

collection of resources of all kinds for linguists and translators: professional
issues, dictionaries, research, publications, software and fonts, reviews etc.

mailing lists page.

an extended listing paying a fee).
- Author
and Translator database from the American Literary Translators
Association: a clearinghouse with the records of English translations
that have appeared in book, anthology and journal form. The database
is particularly valuable for retrieving information on translations
of contemporary international authors whose works in translation
