Galway Science and Technology Exhibition

The 14th Galway Science and Technology Festival ran from November 14th to the 27th in NUI Galway. Edward Dunbar (lecturer in IT in GMIT), who very kindly lent us his old computer games for the school Science and Technology evening earlier this year, invited the pupils of fifth class and Mrs Kelleher to participate in the festival. He organised for them to demonstrate the games to visitors in the Computer and Communications Museum on Sunday the 27th from 10am to 6pm.The pupils of 5th class worked very hard and thoroughly enjoyed the event. The European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science, Ms Maire Geoghegan-Quinn opened the festival and was very interested in the demonstrations given by the pupils when she visited their stand.
