Cuspa Paper models is run by a father and son partnership ; both with a keen interest in history. All but two of the models in the range were designed and drawn by their cousin the late Charles MacNeill., who served with the US Army and was trained by the US Army Topographical Corps of Engineers. He was also a graduate of the prestigious Norman Rockwell School of Art. Charles MacNeill's father, Colonel Niall MacNeill FRIA, FRES, was Assistant Director of the Irish Ordnance Survey. His grandfather, Eoin MacNeill, was professor of Ancient Irish History in University College Dublin. He co-founded the Gaelic League with Douglas Hyde, Ireland's first President. Eoin MacNeill also founded the Irish Volunteers in November, 1913, the precurser of the modern Irish Army.
Cuspa is committed to maintaining the high artistic standards of Charles MacNeill by offering the largest assortment of Irish cut-out paper models in the world. Start now and keep adding to your collection for years to come. We'll be adding new models from time to time. These models are not only a fascinating hobby but will tell you something of the history of the Emerald Isle. They appeal to young and old alike. They also serve as wonderful project material for historical and environmental studies.
