Moving to Our New School Building

The North Dublin National School Project opened on the 3rd September 1984 and until the 24th April 2002 we were in a temporary building in Church Avenue, Glasnevin. This original school building dates from 1847 and was used as a model school which had as one of its aims the training of teachers.

On the 24th April 2002 the big day arrived! Our new school building was ready and the whole school moved together in single file along the Ballymun Road. All the children wore blue school caps and though we were a little sad to leave the school that was home to us all for so long, we were all really excited to be moving at last. Here are some photos of us walking to the new school building. All these photos were taken by 6th class.
