Introduction
Within the framework of the EU Special Support Programme for Peace and Reconciliation (EUSSPPR), the Department of Education for Northern Ireland and the Department of Education and Science have announced a new initiative to strengthen school partnerships and to encourage friendships and understanding between young people on the island of Ireland.Gilnahirk Primary in Belfast and the North Dublin National School Project in Dublin have already begun to work together as part of this project. The children have written introductory letters to each other and we are now beginning our project work. The work from both our schools will be posted on this site over the 6 months from January - June 2000.
