Pillar stones like this one here were used by the people who lived in Ireland 2,000 years before Our Lord was born. The Bronze Age people made tools and ornaments out of bronze and gold. Some of them may have used this Pillar Stone to mark a burial ground or a place where they held a ritual - maybe adore a sun god and earth goddess.
