Our School & Staff 2008
In 1961 our school was only a one-roomed building which catered for the education of boys only, from second to sixth classes. In 1969, a four-roomed prefabricated structure was built following amalgamations of some local two-teacher schools. 1982 saw the construction of a new three-teacher school to replace the prefabricated building. An extension was then added in 1993 and our school of today was born! 'Scoil Mhuire' is now co-educational, catering for all the needs of the students who attend school here. The staff consists of thirteen teachers i.e. The Principal and twelve assistants - two of which are Special Needs teachers.
