The Art of Uilleann Piping - Volume 3

'The first two volumes in this series, The Art of Uilleann Piping, has been an invaluable aid to leaner pipers the world over.   This third volume adds further dimensions to the art of piping'.

This latest release is once again aimed at the intermediate piper and compliments the teaching of Volumes 1 & 2. The Higher-Intermediate Guide is over 80 minutes long and the tuition is presented by Nollaig Mac Cárthaigh and Gay Mc Keon, the same tutors as on Vol. 1 & 2.

Here Gay and Nollaig focus on broadening the range of dance tunes - mazurkas, polkas, set dances, slip jigs, as well as the now familiar double jigs and reels - that make up the piper's repertoire.

There are eight sections in Vol. 3, a new technique taught in each.  This volumes tunes are taught in pairs, thus greatly expanding the store of music acquired by the learner.  The notation of these tunes is provided in the accompanying booklet.   A major feature of this third volume is the very comprehensive introduction to regulator plaing, bringing a whole new dimension to the learner's piping.  The accompanying CD has been included to help the learner become familiar with the tunes before turning to the video.

The video is endorsed by two professional, internationally-renowned, pipers, Paddy Moloney and Liam O’Flynn.

Voice over is by Patricia Logan, production and direction is by by Ken Lynam, music typing is by Terry Moylan and the cover and booklet were designed by Pier Kuipers - pipers all. The video is available from the publishers, Na Píobairí Uilleann.
