After a childhood of hearing Michael Collins spoken of in reverential, almost mystical tones Carl O'Brien decided to investigate who he really was. While admiring his abilities as a soldier and stateman, he admits to being most impressed by Collins's legendary prowess as a womaniser. However, in more alcohol-fueled moments, he acknowledges that he has failed miserably in picking up any of Collins' techniques when it comes to the ladies.
"I'm hopeful that one day iI'll be able to empoloy some of his quips as chat-up lines," says O'Brien. "I'm just not sure whether passionate orations about Irish independence will do the trick. Here's hoping, though," he added.
Any queries relating to Collins can sent to this e-mail address. It may take a while to answer, but he'll get there eventually. As for chat-up lines, enquires are best directed elsewhere.
