A Trans-European School Based Project
PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS
The EURO'N TREASURES European Education Project, which was initiated in 1998, is an opportunity for the children of the
participating schools and the wider community to explore and treasure the diversity and
appreciate the uniqueness of the environmental and cultural heritage of the European
Peoples with particular reference to Northern Ireland, Denmark, Ireland and Greece.
This project was supported for its three year duration by funding from the EU
through the Socrates Comenius Action 1 Programme. It is hoped that this website will remain active till at least July 2003.

Treasures Project
The project involve three main elements viz. Geography and Environment, Cultural
Heritage and History, Traditional Customs and Practices. Pupils, with the assistance of teachers, compile,
explore and exchange information about themselves and their region through the media of
e-mail, fax, audio tape, video, compact disc and mail. The schools have established and maintain a
Website containing information about the project.
